No, not Dave Matthews. Perhaps I am on an ambient kick these days, but there’s something about “How To Destroy Angels” that I cannot help but love…for the most part. Once again Trent Reznor works his magic musically, creating an interesting ambient background for the lyrics to hit the song home. However, the vocals don’t quite reach that challenge. At times her beautiful voice gets buried under the music. Overall not a bad song, it would have been nice to see Trent perhaps add in some vocals to counter/compliment hers. To me it would seem that it would actually improve the song substantially.
